Yako

D.O.B: 19/03/2019

Yako is a handsome lad, another setter given up because he wasn’t wanted for hunting. He is now living happily in foster in Liverpool, with four other dogs and gets along brilliantly with them all. As you’d expect, Yako is an active lad, but he also has a lovely calm side. He enjoys his naps and absolutely loves laying out in the garden for a sunbathe. He’s settled into home life really well and is doing really well with his toilet training.

With people he is very affectionate and loves to have a cuddle and a fuss made of him. He pushes his face into your hand as he’s getting a fuss, like all his worries are melting away. He’s a really sweet boy and calmer than a lot of young setters in the shelter. He comes running when he’s called at home and in a secure field, although he does like birds so this will likely change on an exciting walk!

Yako is a fantastic dog who would slot into most homes. He can be rehomed as an only dog or with other dogs, and he could happily live with children.

Yako has been cat tested and can live with cats with slow and careful introductions.
