Bixkor

Bixkor is an absolute gem of a girl. The type of dog that melts your heart as soon as you meet her, she deserves the world.
Bixkor is one of the dogs we were able to help while our team was in Spain, thanks to some very kind donations. We were set to pick her up on Sunday but her hunter decided on Saturday that if she wasn’t picked up immediately, he would let her die. Thankfully a local volunteer was able to rush to collect her and keep her overnight. She was an absolute angel in the house, soon found a sofa to settle on and was great with the resident cat too.
As soon as we picked her up the next day, she snuggled into each of us in turn before happily getting in the car and curling up at our feet. It was immediately obvious what a gentle soul she is. Leaving her at the shelter was tough, she immediately shut down and you could tell she really didn’t want to be there, she needs a home really quickly where she can relax and enjoy the rest of her retirement years. She will slot into most homes very easily but would love a quiet home in the country where she can potter around to her hearts content and go on lovely walks.
When we picked Bixkor up, it was obvious that her hunter has shaved part of her fur which will take a little bit of time to grow back. She was once a very successful hunter before becoming too old for her hunter to want to keep or spend money on but a family will be very lucky to have her!
