Novak

Novak is a handsome collie mix breed, he has a bit of a different history to a lot of the dogs we help. He was picked up by the local pound in Spain and the poor lad was covered in mange. Thankfully a very kind volunteer at the at the pound moved heaven and earth to get him to a dog boarding facility where he could receive treatment for the mange, as they do not treat dogs in the pound. There he recovered and began to grow the thick coat he has now. He has had more basic training than a lot of the dogs we help. In the boarding facility he they taught him how to walk nicely on lead and he got along with the other other dogs there without any problems. As wonderful as the boarding facility was for him, sadly he was there for a year with nobody able to offer him a home so thankfully one of the shelters we work closely with took him in so he had more of a chance of finding a home. Novak is in really good condition compared to when he first got to the pound. He might have gone slightly the other way and will need help to lose some weight in a new home to get him to a healthy shape.

Novak has a wonderful temperament and character. He is calm, balanced, affectionate, sociable, and cheerful. The ladies at the shelter say he is the most gentle and patient boy. He travels well in the car. He hasn’t been tested with cats but can be, and he’s expected to be a good match with cats because of his relaxed character and he can also be rehomed with children.
