Lula

Lula is a beautiful mixed breed girl, likely with Spanish Mastiff and German Shorthaired Pointer in her mix. She was rescued from a kennel in Ourense and has been waiting at the shelter under another rescue for quite some time for someone to give her a home. TSPP have offered to help out with hopes together we can find Lula her family.
Lula is wonderful with people. She is calm, affectionate and incredibly loving, adoring human company and always seeking you out for a bit of comfort and a fuss. She has the softest fur, making her absolutely perfect for cuddles! When she goes out into the shelter’s outside area, she prefers having someone out there with her. This is quite unusual compared to many of the dogs we help, who are much more interested in all the smells outside!
Although we know very little about Lula’s early life, her behaviour suggests that she may not have had many positive experiences with other dogs. She much prefers human company and would be happy as the only dog in the home.
Lula is looking for something a little different from most of our dogs. She arrived at the shelter with metal plates in her wrist, due to an old injury. Sadly, it was causing her some issues so she’s had to have a further operation to remove some of the screws and is now doing very well and is ready for her new home. Despite her injury, she manages well and enjoys shorter walks. She isn’t particularly agile, though, so she wouldn’t be suited to long runs or a very active lifestyle. A calm home, gentle walks and lots of love would be just what she needs.
Lula really is a wonderful girl. While shelter life is difficult for any dog, some struggle more than others, and Lula is definitely one of them. She would love nothing more than a home of her own, with a comfy sofa, plenty of human company and all the cuddles she could wish for. In return, she’ll make a loving and devoted addition to her new family. She can live with older children and be cat tested for the right home.
