Olaf
D.O.B: 28/06/2024
Olaf is in foster in High Wycombe.
Olaf is a beautiful young tricolor setter. We were asked to help Olaf when we heard his hunter wanted to get rid of him ASAP, and we dreaded the thought of what would happen to him if we didn’t step in. He was already wearing an E-Collar in the photos we were sent of him, so we knew the treatment Olaf was getting wasn’t kind.
Olaf is now in foster, where he’s doing super well. He is a sweet, happy boy who still has the energy of a young puppy. He’s doing really well with his toilet training and has had very few accidents since he first arrived in foster care. He also travels really well in the car, settling down nicely for the journey.
With other dogs, Olaf tends to be quite submissive and would benefit from some gentle support to help build his confidence. He currently goes into work with his fosterer, he curls up in his bed beside her desk and sleeps after he’s had a good walk. He loves meeting people in the office and soaks up all the fuss and cuddles.
Olaf adores his walks and runs along happily on his long line with his tail wagging, he doesn’t pull but like most of our dogs would benefit from some more training. He’s very food-motivated and currently a little on the slim side, suggesting that he hasn’t always had plenty to eat in the past.
Olaf could happily live as an only dog, or in a home with friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and help his confidence with other dogs.
