Rex

Rex is currently in foster in Northumberland

Rex was abandoned in a pound when he was just a puppy but he was adopted by a man who was sadly suffering from some pretty bad mental health issues and he thought a dog would get him out of the house and help him feel better but sadly, he’s really struggled to look after Rex and so has handed him over to a local rescue in Spain that we work with to find him a home that can give him everything he needs.
He’s a very handsome chap, who we think is a Fox Terrier mix, although there’s bound to be a mix of breeds in him! He’s small to medium in size and a very cheerful and playful boy, a really cracking lad. He’s settled into home life well, finding the human bed in his foster home on the first evening! He loves playing, just like he did in Spain, and gets on great with one of the young resident dogs in particular. He’s a typical young dog with plenty of energy but is also learning to settle, including one of his new favourite past times watching the resident guinea pigs! He’s great with people, even those he doesn’t know, and shows no fear but is affectionate and confident and also responds to his name well.

During his time with his last adopter, he spent time living in a city so, unlike a lot of our dogs, is well suited to the hustle and bustle of a busier area.

He lived as an only dog but could also share his new home with resident dogs as he is really great with other dogs. He loves to run and play and he also gets along great with children.
