Parchi

This beautiful lad was adopted from a pound by a family in Spain in January. Sadly, the family live in the city centre in an apartment and Parch just isn’t suited to a busy urban life. He really struggled there, not wanting to go outside with the big crowds of people, traffic and noises of the city. They took him to quieter areas like dog parks whenever they could and could see he was so much happier there but the family just don’t have the time to do it as much as he needs and so they asked one of the wonderful rescues we work with in Spain to help him find a new home.
At home, he was well-behaved, living in a 70m2 apartment, and he stayed calm when his owners went to work. He’s used to doing his business outside. They took him to the beach and the mountains on weekends, but during the week, the hustle and bustle of the city scared him and he didn’t want to go for walks. He just needs to live in a quiet, urbanized town or in nature, not in urban centers or city centers. Here, he has no fears; he’s the happiest dog in the world. And although we haven’t tested him with cats yet, his family says he gets along well with cats, but we could test him without a problem.
Parchi is a very good boy! He’s used to living as an only dog but could also live with others as he gets on well with all the dogs he’s met, both at the shelter and with his previous family. He’s very affectionate with people, including children. Parchi’s ideal home would be somewhere in the countryside where he doesn’t have to deal with the daily hustle and bustle of city life which is just too much for him. He’s not a nervous dog and in fact, at the shelter, he’s extremely happy and relaxed! He loves adventuring at the beach or in the mountains. He was also used to being left for short periods of time in his home and was toilet trained although he may need help getting to grips with both of these things again in a new home.
