Lilo

D.O.B: 01/12/2024

Lilo is a typical 9 month old puppy – playful, full of happy energy and with lots of love to give – and he is now looking for a new home that can enjoy this puppy time with him and help him grow into a wonderful family dog. Lilo (along with his brother Stitch) was originally abandoned by a hunter in Spain. He is a setter cross but crossed with what is something of a mystery! We suspect a small, short-legged dog as both the pups have shorter legs and are smaller in size. Lilo travelled to the UK in May and is currently living in Wigan but can travel for the perfect home.

Lilo loves nothing more than cuddling up next to a human and having belly scratches. Quickly followed by zoomies around the house until he flops. Like a lot of setters, he can pull when on the lead so his lead training will need to be worked on as will his recall. His favourite place to go for walks is the beach and he will dig in the sand, bounce through the water and explore. He enjoys the company of a family dog that he visits and loves playing with her. As he is still a puppy, he loves his toys and likes to play tug of war and fetch, not always with his own toys! Lilo is also a foodie and particularly enjoys a slice toast and sausage treats as well as antler chews and bones.

During the day, if home alone, he has free run of the downstairs and, at night, will sleep downstairs on his own, either on his bed or snuggled up on blankets on the sofa. Toilet training has gone well although adopters should be aware that he may well take a few steps backwards following a move.

He’s a true puppy with lots of energy and love and is looking for a home that has the time and patience to continue his training, play with him and love him right back.
