Pria

Pria is a very pretty Setter x Collie who was adopted at the beginning of 2025. While she was in Spain, she was taken on as a pet by an individual who passed away. Pria was then left with her mother, who shared the same home but was elderly and unfortunately unable to continue caring for her.
Pria is very comfortable in a home environment and is used to the daily comings and goings of family life. Pria is toilet trained and she has some foundations for lead walking and recall, but she would benefit from more training out and about. She is extremely loving and affectionate and gets very excited when meeting new people at home. She loves a good head scratch, enjoys a game of tug and will often bring her toys over when she wants to play. She also loves being outside and can often be found happily relaxing in the garden.
As lovely as Pria is, there are still some areas of life that she finds difficult, particularly walking in busy areas and coping with passing traffic. We are looking for a home that is happy to keep Pria’s world as small as she needs it to be and has the time and patience to help her build her confidence. Pria currently lives with a young family and is very good with children. She could be rehomed with children or to a home where children regularly visit, provided her adopters have enough time and space for Pria alongside family life.
Pria has always lived as an only dog, both in Spain and in the UK and she is quite independent, so she would be happy to continue as the only dog in the home. She did spend time around other dogs while at the shelter in Spain, but she can struggle when meeting dogs out on walks. If she were to live with another dog, introductions would need to be properly managed which the TSPP can give support and guidance for. Pria has not been cat tested and has never lived with cats, so ideally we are looking for a home without cats unless adopters are able to take introductions very slowly and keep Pria and the cats apart for the foreseeable. Pria is currently in Lancashire.
