Quira
D.O.B: 08/07/2015
Quira is a beautiful older Brittany. She was one of 33 Brittanys that were kept together on a piece of land and used for hunting and showing. The land they lived on was being sold and one of the shelters we work with was quick to step in and get as many of the dogs out as they could before they ended up with other hunters. They managed to get 17 of the dogs, which are being sponsored across three different organisations. Quira is being funded by TSPP and is now safe in kennels until she finds a home.
Quira can be a bit shy initially but she gradually warms up to people and will timidly approach, wanting to be petted. She would do well in a quiet home with patient adopters who will help her find her feet and confidence in her own time and give her the retirement she truly deserves. She is great with other dogs at the shelter and would most likely benefit from a home with a resident dog to help shop her the ropes. She would do best in a home without young children due to her being nervous but could live with older children and can also be cat tested for the right home.
