Sonny

Sonny is a very handsome GSP currently being looked after by a wonderful rescue in Spain. Sonny is a really wonderful boy who couldn’t come with higher praise from everyone who knows him! He’s such a handsome boy with light coloured eyes and a heart full of love, the perfect combination of sweet and gentle yet bouncy and fun. Like most of our dogs, Sonny was a hunting dog now looking for a second chance in life. He’s affectionate and eager to please. He adores people and loves a big fuss, something that he will have certainly been lacking in his life before reaching the team currently taking care of him. He’s been taken on some lovely walks by volunteers and he walks nicely and travels really well in the car as well. Sonny really struggled with shelter life, not helped by the cats roaming around that caused him to be really stressed, so the shelter put out an urgent foster request for him. Sadly he was let down by two homes but finally fell on his feet and is now with a lovely foster home local to the shelter, but he still needs a home of his own to fully settle. Sonny has been great with dogs of all shapes and sizes and has picked up a lot of confidence since settling into home life. After so much change, he arrived at his current foster home very nervous and would cower but he’s soon turned into a happy dog who stands tall and proud again. He shows promising recall on the beach and comes bounding back with his ears flapping! He loves dog company and loves nothing more than a good tug of war so he would love another canine friend in his new home. Sonny’s DOB is an estimate by he does seem younger than 8 so his exact age is not known. He’s looking for a cat free home with somebody who will embrace this lovely loyal & loving soul and with a bit of patience with house training, he’s going to make an amazing addition to a lucky family!
