Sugus
D.O.B: 09/08/2022
Sugus is a very handsome, medium sized Beagle mix with a different story to many of the dogs we help. He was originally rescued by one of the shelters we work closely with after spending a whole year in the pound. He was then lucky enough to find a lovely home with a kind owner, where he spent the next year and a half as part of the family. Sadly, his owner passed away, and with no one in the family able to take him in, Sugus has found himself back at the shelter and looking for a new home.
Having previously lived in a home, Sugus is already used to the comforts of family life. He was fully toilet trained and had no issues being left home alone. He gets on really well with the other dogs at the shelter and loves having a run around and playing with them. He’s a happy, sociable and affectionate boy who takes things in his stride, with no obvious fears. He has a lovely, gentle nature and is good with both adults and children.
Sugus has a moderate energy level. He enjoys getting out and about, having a good run and playing with his dog friends, but he also has a calmer side and is just as happy to settle down and relax.
Sugus has previously had surgery for a disc extrusion. Thankfully, he has recovered well and is currently running around happily with the other dogs without any issues. He doesn’t require any further veterinary treatment, although ongoing physiotherapy or hydrotherapy could be beneficial in supporting his mobility long term. He can also be cat tested for the right home.
