Terron

D.O.B: 01/07/2024

Terron arrived in the UK at the beginning of October and is currently living in Wetherby, where he has settled into home life really well.

He’s a lovely, affectionate boy who absolutely adores his cuddles and being made a fuss of. He’s also a bright, eager to please lad who is proving to be a real star when it comes to learning new things. He’s taken to training brilliantly and is picking things up very quickly. His recall is coming along beautifully and he’s already enjoying some off-lead time in suitable areas. He’s also discovered the joys of playing with a ball and is getting the hang of bringing it back for a game of fetch!

Terron loves his walks and has enjoyed some lovely outings with a family member’s Labrador, with the two of them having great fun playing together. He’s still a young boy with plenty of enthusiasm for life, so he can be bouncy and jumpy when excited, but that’s all part of his youthful charm.

He currently shares his home with two cats and has been relaxed around them, showing little interest and even enjoying the occasional snuggle with one of them! As always though, any introductions to cats in a new home would need to be slow and carefully managed.

Terron really is a lovely boy who has shown just how well he can adapt to home life. He’s affectionate, sociable, clever and keen to learn, and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants to continue having fun with his training and helping him develop his skills.

Having already been through quite a lot of change in his young life, Terron is now looking for a forever home where he can continue to flourish. With a loving family who will give him the guidance, encouragement and companionship he deserves, we think this special boy has so much to offer.

Previous history

Terron is a handsome GWP cross. He’s a happy and sociable lad with a slightly different past from a lot of our dogs.

Terron was given to a young man when he was just two months old. He lived with them in an apartment in the city but they no longer want him. The man moved out and left Terron with his muother who didn’t want him either and so he’s now with the rescue we work closely with in Spain.

Sadly when Terron arrived at the shelter, he was very skinny. The woman told them it’s because he refused to eat but as soon as he arrived, he devoured a full bowl of food so the ladies at the rescue think he wasn’t being well cared for.

Despite that, he is a sociable and affectionate boy who’s very gentle with people. He loves having a fuss made of him and has lovely soft, shiny fur. He is sociable with other dogs and gets along well with everyone he meets. He could live as an an only dog in his new family (as he did previously) or with other dogs in the home.

Terron has passed his cat test.

Please note: Although this dog is currently in UK foster, they originated from Spain, so the Spanish adoption fee applies.
